  • 2023 Chamber Music America Performance Plus Grant Recipient.

  • In 2022, S.O.A.R. was one of ten ensembles selected to represent The United States as U.S. Cultural Ambassadors, a part of the American Music Abroad 2022 & 2023 international touring season.

  • In 2022, S.O.A.R. Won “Best Message Video” for their music video “The Skin I’m In” at the 38th Annual Songwriters’ Association Competition (SAW) in Washington, DC. SOAR also took 2nd place at the Song Writers’ Association of Washington for their song “Moments When I Was a Kid” under Jazz / Blues.

  • In 2021, Sounds of A&R released their third studio album, “Questions Left Unanswered,” an album filled with an amalgam of lively original compositions and cover arrangements of time-tested classics. It is currently climbing The National Jazz Week Charts; the highest position to date is #12. SOAR’s Album was also picked up by the nationally syndicated radio station Sirius XM “Real Jazz” Channel 67.

  • Sounds of A&R was a FINALIST in the 2021 Unsigned Only International song competition for their song “Moments When I Was a Kid” off their album “Questions Left Unanswered,” released in 2021.


  • Also in 2021, S.O.A.R. took home the 1st place prize at the 2021 River Film Festival for their music video “Moments When I Was a Kid” from their album “Questions Left Unanswered” Presented by The BBCAC of New Jersey.  


  • In 2020, S.O.A.R. took home the 3rd place FINALIST Award at the 36th Annual Songwriters Association Competition (SAW) in Washington DC, for their song “Love’s Dilemma.” This was under Vocal Jazz/blues, recorded on their first album. 

  • In 2019, Sounds of A&R was Awarded and named “Best Jazz Group” at the NYC Readers Jazz Awards presented by Hot House Jazz Magazine and Jazzmobile. The award ceremony was held at the legendary Birdland Theater in New York City.  

  • In 2018, Sounds of A&R was selected to join and tour with the legendary Jazz drummer Thelonious Sphere Monk III, also known as T.S. Monk.  Not only is Sounds of A&R a featured group, but they are also both an intricate part of The T.S. Monk Band. Randall is also the Musical Director of The T.S. Monk Band

  • In 2017, S.O.A.R. released two albums. The first was their self-entitled album “Sounds of A&R,” Which peaked at #14 on the Jazz Week Charts and landed on Jazz Week’s Top 100 Albums of the Year that same year. Their second album, “Let’s Stay Forever,”  featured a song entitled “Horizon,” which peek at #17 on The Billboard Contemporary Jazz Charts.
